Share some of the fond memories from your childhood. Things you remember from your childhood (toys, events, TV commercials, anything you can think of). Here's one of mine:
I can clearly remember when I was around 7 or 8 yrs old, my siblings and I would light fireworks for New Years with lit cigarettes that our parents gave us.
A parent would end up in jail and have their kids taken away for that nowadays.

How about this one....I remember riding on the front seat of the truck, standing on the seat. And if dad would hit the brakes hard for some reason, he would put his ARM out in front of me to keep my head from penetrating the windshield.........the good ole days

I remember sneaking a sip out of my dads beer everytime he would leave one lying around until one day I stumbled across one that he used as a makehift ashtray. Needless to say, this detered me for about....2 days.

I remember when I was a little girl, my grandfather would pick me up from school and he would bring me a butterscotch pudding to eat on the ride home... Every day. He used to fix me breakfast every morning before school too. Eggs and Canadian Bacon or Strawberries and Cream Oatmeal...
I miss my grandpa.

I miss being able to get on my bike and hauling ass where ever I wanted to go, as long as I was home before dark. No bills, no diapers, no headaches that we now know as husbands........

I remember in front of my grandmother's house, there was a spot where all of us grandkids played that never grew any grass. We used to gather up the dirt and make mud pies, and use my grandmother's dishes and silverware. Till she got the clever idea to sprinkle flour all over the dirt and tell us that we couldn't play there anymore because it was full of ant poison.

I can remember being sent outside to play in the sweltering heat with a spoon to dig in the dirt... Before long mom started wondering where all the damn silverware went.
I can also remember at the old age of 10...my mom handing me a cigarette and telling me to go light it on the stove for her. (I am now trying to quit)
I can remember mouthing off to my great-grandmother (who was 86 when I was born) and her taking off her slipper and beating me all over the house until I cried like a bitch.
I also remember when I was little I used my middle finger at my brother and to punish me, my grandma made me kneel at the edge of the drive way with both of my middle fingers extended for all the world to see and laugh when they drove by.
I really miss my grandma.

It's a shame most kids growing up nowadays won't have any stories like these to share.

I can remember the first time my dad brought me hunting with him. I was grinning like a possum eating sh*t. I remember he had to point out a squirrel for me. When I shot at it it took off running. I don't think I killed any that day but after that, all I wanted to do was kill squirrels.

I remember when my brother and I used to go to the edge of the lake and catch little frogs. We used to put them in our pockets.. sometimes we'd forget about them. Those were not good days for the little frogs.
We would also take cans and stuff outside and pretend we were running a store for the people that got off when the train stopped (we had tracks in our back yards). We had a lot of fun on those railroad tracks.

I remember in grade school going catch bees and pulling their stingers out. After collecting about 20 of them, we would let them loose in class!

Taking your shoes off at the end of school and pretty much not putting them back on the whole summer. And catching fireflies

I can still remember this clearly.... Me and my cousin were both probably around 9 or 10 yrs old. My uncle built him a go-kart and we were both riding in it, (he was driving). You know those moments when something bad is happening and it's almost like it's happening in slow motion. All I could see was the biggest ant hill I have ever seen in my life coming straight towards us. This was no ordinary ant hill tho, burried beneath it was a log and when we hit it, ant's flew all over us and we both flew out of the go-kart. Both of us laying on the ground covered in fire ants..........ahh....the good ole days.

I remember my first vehicle, my parent's hand me down 1980 ford full size bronco 4x4. It had over 180,000 miles, there was about 6 inches of slack in the steering, a radio with a tape player that ate everything you put in it and one speaker that worked even though it rattled. The tires were slicker than egg shells and the left front brake was the only one that worked. When I was behind the wheel, you'd swear I was drivin a cadillac escalade on twinny fo's y'erd me?
