A few pics in question from hundreds I've taken trying to capture SOMETHING...... ANYTHING!!!! haha... In my house, a bunch of funky white orb-looking images. (near bar chair legs, near chair behind me, walls, etc) could the recessed lights/mirror have anything to do with it?! i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/AnneSJames/New004.jpgI believe the lights are affecting that particular picture althought the "orb" by the dog looks differentThe Myrtles- Back Porch Haze i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/AnneSJames/New030.jpgThis one is strange. I'd almost say it may be a smudge on the lense or it could be possible humidity? I'm really not sure about this one due to the cloud higher up.The Myrtles- Front Porch. Shadow to left of front door i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/AnneSJames/New041.jpgThis is another one I am second guessing on. It looks like a boy on one perspective and on another one it looks like it could be a combination of shadows causing the image. Either way interesting catch. The Myrtles- Wondering.... is there something in the window right behind me? Could be reflection in window though. i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/AnneSJames/New097.jpgI believe this one is just combination of the trees in the foreground amongst other things. The Myrtles- Shadow on back porch? i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/AnneSJames/New029.jpgAnother odd one. It looks like 2 shadow men in the window with some other shadowy blotch in the middle. Was a tour going on at the time or was someone near the window inside at the time?
The Myrtles- "The" Mirror i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/AnneSJames/New036.jpg
Ah yes the infamous "mirror". I've been to the Myrtles and read up on it after. There seems to be alot of BS stories branching from that place and one being the mirror. What you captured it looks like is the reflection of the light fixture in the background aswell as alot of dust. Thats just IMO. I have a picture of that mirror with what looks like a cloud walking down the steps, but I think its just an old mirror with smudges imprinted in it.
Possible orb on sofa at King's Tavern in Natchez, MS i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/AnneSJames/new042.jpg
Could be the light in this one?

There was no one touring the home at the time. The house had been closed for hours. This was at midnight or later and we were the only ones outside hunting The back porch haze confuses me because I took two pics back to back at that angle and only one had that haze near the rocking chairs. So I don't know about a humidity change that quickly or smudge on lens. As far as the mirror is concerned... I've heard a ton of BS stories. Seems like they are more interesting in stretching the truth and exaggerating things to make the house seem more appealing/interesting. Have you seen some of the new pics they have at the end of the house tour? (someone took a pic into the darkness in the back and it looks like 6 men in soldiers uniforms carrying a coffin... and another pic looks like someone is hanging by one of the tree limbs) how come i can't capture stuff like that?!

Haha yes, I've seen it. Looks bogus. I asked to obtain a copy of that photo to show my mom one day and was told the only way to see it was on the tour. Asfar as your shadows on the porch I can't see anything its catching light off of to cause them. Hopefully someone else will give an opinion because I can't honestly tell what it is right now.

The shadow on the front porch is from the light hitting the statue.
The shadow on the back porch may also be shadow cast by the light hitting someone standing on the steps behind the bench. If you look hard, it looks like someone standing on the steps to the porch.
I can't see anything in the mirror due to the large amount of dust in the air.
I also can not see anything in the window behind you.
I have no idea what is causing the haze either.

Well, the shadow on the back porch does look like someone standing on the steps behind the bench. In saying that... no one was on the porch when I took the picture. In fact, no one was on the grounds after midnight when we were out there (only other person was my husband who was right behind the camera with me) Soooo... hmmmmmmmmm....

The first one is interesting, but it seems like it could be lighting issue.. too close to something reflective on your left side maybe? The second one seems like it could be the statue's shadow since the angles match up to a flash from you and garden light from near by.. two lights of different strength would do that. The third one is by far the most interesting imo. there seems to be 3 different shadows in this shot, each one a different distance away. it's very beautiful as well as intriguing.. good shot! The fourth one is very dusty and kinda blurry.. so It's hard to distinguish anything.. sorry. The fifth being an orb, I don't know.. it could just be dust.
I hope I was helpful.
Did you have any personal experiences there?

I looked at your pictures and am able to explain some of them. the first shadow on the front porch is of the angel statue. The mist on the porch could be moisture (humidity). The one of the shadow in the back looks good, and while I can somewhat explain - I want to look at that a little more before i say something on that one.
It is so hard to evaluate someone elses pictures, because i don't really know the circumstances in which the picture was taken.
