I think most of us understand that Demonic forces are about, and out to tempt anyone.
Ive been reading about the incident with Ursuline Nuns in Loudun France back in 1634, These Nuns were alledgedy attacked and Possessed by demonic forces, they went into convulsions, used abusive language, Father Jean-Joseph Surine exorcised the demons by inviting them into him, (Thats nuts), the demons abliged and caused him to become mentally unstable, inflicted injuries upon himself and even attempted suicide.
But here is where I have alittle trouble with this alledged Possession, Most of these nuns and Priests carry the crucifix, Im sure they were blessed, The Crucifix is a powerful tool against evil and demonic forces, to the Demon it represents the crucifixion of Christ, Triumpt over Sin and evil, and so the demon is afraid of it. We who carry the Crucifx understand its meaning as well, it reminds us who we belong to, and our allegiance to him and the church, not to mention protection from Evil.
So, The church in 1634 Im sure had crossess all over, and around it. Im just not sure that this incident really happened.
I think something else was going on, and the demon excuse was just an excuse.

I don't doubt the power of God over demonic forces, which power is represented by the Cross. However, Faith, is a requirement. Belief. Iif any individual renounces their Faith, they may be subject to demonic forces. We are all allowed to be tempted, even Christ. If we accept the temptation, we are constructively denouncing that which we had formerly professed to believe in. Then, in theory, oppression, obsession, and possession could follow. It's the personal position of the individual, rather than the landscape, that's the ultimate deterrent. A car won't run very far w/o gas.

I can agree with that, even the part of temptation, but just seems strange that if Demonic forces fear the Cross and what it represents, then those who have it shouldnt be affected, but, again, if you allow to be tempted, guess one could be in trouble.
