It all started when I was in my early teens. At the time my family and I lived in a two story home in Grapevine, Texas. My grandmother lived with us as well. She became ill ,and shortly died. She didn't pass in our home, but she did have all of her belongings in the house at the time of her death. About 2 weeks after her death is when the occurrences started to a happen. Grandma had a certain chair that she always sat in and watched TV. We were all sitting in the living room while watching the TV when our dog popped his head up and looked at her chair. Before we could tell what was going on our dog was at the foot of the chair going nuts barking and nipping at the chair. And just as the dog started he stopped and went and laid back down.
My second and most memorable encounter with this was in my bed. I had just turned the light out to fall asleep. The way my room was setup I could see down the hall when I laid on my side. I shut my eyes and when I opened them I saw a figure. A shadow person to be exact. But I knew it was her by the way the apparition was hunched over and walking. She completely blocked out the light behind her, and she was as black as aything i have seen. She walked toward me and turned into what had recently been her room.
I will never forget this night because it scarred the life out of me. But it is what jump started my interest into the paranormal. To this day I want to go back to that house and ask the current resident if they have had any sign or activity of the paranormal.
