I want to take this time to personally thank all of my members for the hard work and dedication. As they say, "you are only as strong as your weakest link". Well, if thats the case, our great reputation and hard work shows that even our newest members are of a high caliber. From the birth of LaSpirits, we have battled adversity and hardship, only to recover quickly and without missing a beat. By always turning a deaf ear to unnecessary adversaries, we rise above the unneeded competition and continue helping those in need, instead of spinning our wheels in the mud, stooping to others levels by going "blow to blow". Never have I seen a hobby where people have become so competitive and cut-throat. All I can do is shake my head b/c it will probably always unfortunately continue. All we can do is "keep on keepin on", while others waste their time with drama and negative comments/allegations. I have seen some of the most rediculous tactics at trying to get the upper hand, yet for what??? Maybe its just that people need to get a life, get out and get a job, while experiencing that there are more to life than looking for ways to make others feel as miserable and expendable as he/she may feel. A younger me once was quick to retort in the fashion I was attacked in, yet now I feel like much more is accomplished when you sit back, grin, ignore what is being said, and allow our hard work, dedication, reputation, and overall name, speak for itself. Im a firm believer in "kill em with kindness". Again, thanks to all my members, who at this time, I honestly feel is the best overall band of members I have ever had in this great organization known as LOUISIANA SPIRITS PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS!

Hey Brad,
I think the leadership of LA Spirits says alot for its members. I've seen very professional paranormal investigators have fun in life while proving the afterlife! Just can't find that anywhere.
I've been welcomed with open arms by all of LA Spirits team! I want to thank Brad and Brandon for handling all the drama the way they have and assuring their members we are the best of the best and nothing can ever take us down. I dealt with Cheer Mamma Drama for 4 years and thought that was bad so my hats of to you both and also to the members.
Life is way too short to be pulled down by bottom feeders! Keep up the great work. The positive vibe of the group keeps bringing in case after case so obiviously LA Spirits has it going on!
Cheers, Andie

It's funny... I was just about to make a post about this on our board, lol.
The sad thing is that everything mentioned is so true of this field. I was sad to understand these facts - which I just recently discovered. Since I have put up my group's myspace account, I have been getting hammered with bulletins and PM's that indicate a full-on war is being waged between some of these groups! Actually I wish we were still nieve. Before this, we were our own little group - no website, no myspace, no forums - and having the best time! Now I look around and go WTF is going on? I was stupid enough to believe that all groups were having as much fun as we were and getting along great with everyone else.... one big happy family. Geez, I was way off the mark. I'm considering pulling down our myspace account so that I don't have to look at that garbage going on.
On the extreme other side of this, if you are part of a big forum - I stupidly joined a few to try to network - you have to pretend that everyone's posted "evidence" is the greatest thing ever. Don't even think about saying something negative about someone's photo filled with moisture and dust orbs. Have you guys seen that crap that some people post as evidence?? Things like "If you look closely, you can see the face of an old man in the mirror (that happens to be filled with figerprints and smudges)" or "Look closely at the black area between the two trees... you will be able to see the outline of a spectre". Jesus Christ, are these people serious?? I get embarrassed for them when I see this shit. Then the entire rest of the board community will be expected to pipe in about how good a job was done capturing such "fine evidence" and before you know it, others (just as rock-headed) are seeing all sorts of things in the "black area between the two trees". OMG - give me a bucket to puke in.
Fortunately, I saw a couple of people get reamed out by some board communities for saying they don't see how a particular thing can be contemplated as evidence. I didn't make the same mistake. But now I don't want to post anywhere because I am forced to be untrue to myself and pretend like every little speck of dust is a forty foot boogyman. WTF-ever. i am one that must speak my mind or not speak.
Hope you didn't mind my rant attached to this....

It's all too true.......this is something we do because we enjoy it. We don't make money off of it, it's a hobby. If people would put as much time and effort into investigating as they do in telling lies and being childish......they might actually be taken seriously and have a successful group.

Jamie that was a great post. Its as if we think exactly alike. I have dealt with many people who show off "evidence" that is obviously logically explainable. God forbid you try and explain it or, as you said, you will get tore a new asshole. However, I wish the only BS that we dealt with was bogus evidence. Unfortunately, it all comes from people simply running their mouth about totally irrelevant shit. As Tiffany said, if those people worked half as much as they talked shit, they may actually be a decent group.
Fortunately we havent had any drama on myspace (knocks on wood) but Im sure it wont be long. Jamie, I know you have several groups in your area. Have you received any flack from any of them?

No. Until recently, we hadn't exposed our group to the world. We just did the things we did because it was fun, gave us a chance to debate, at times was exhilerating, and when you get some great evidence (and if you hide it in enough places) no one can take it away from you. We decided to come out and go public so that we could gain some higher profile investigations. We didn't buy all this equipment for nothing, lol.
I had no idea the stupidness that was going on. Because, I mean, it really is retarded. I don't know what has occurred with you, but some of the things I have read and that have been posted on my myspace bulletin were simply flabberghasting. I couldn't believe that people were going at it like that. Seems like the big thing is to call another group a "cult" now, and then call every news paper (or any type of media the other group is working with) and claim that all their "evidence" is fake and their equipment is trash, etc.
I'll put it to you like this Brad, John point blank said this to me today:
If one of those stupid ass groups has the testicular fortitude to come to our site to start trouble of this kind, commit slander against us in a local community, or any of that other retarded shit that seems to be going around with a ton of these other "paranormal investigation" groups then they must be prepared to have four very big and angry men drag them from their place of residence and beat the holy Hell out of them.
I wouldn't waste my time getting into an "internet war" with anyone. We can clear it all up any misconceptions or differences in perception with one visit.
I think one of the big thing is knowing that I don't mind someone telling me that they don't buy something I'm presenting as evidence of paranormal activity - because I certainly don't buy a lot of others. BUT, some people can't handle that. It shatters their fantasy world in which they are the newest star on Ghost Hunters. They'll blow up like the Godfather in an internet forum and call everyone you know and tell them you suck from afar because the internet makes them feel tough - it helps disassociate them from the real world so that they can be Superman, Wonder Woman, or Jason & grant.
However, some of us are not wired this way... and we'll show up on your doorstep!

Haha, very well put. I, too am sick of the "keyboard warriors" that have balls the size of Baltimore when they are typing away, but get them face to face and they steady are "crawfishing". Im old school like you....talk shit over the PC, then come say it to our face. We have been victim to pretty much every dirty tactic you mentioned and called every name in the book except a "cult", but Im sure that will come in due time.

It's rediculous, Bro. I had no idea. I guess we'll see what happens. We are trying to be VERY selective of the groups that we associate with AT ALL - and we'll pretty much stick to ourselves and not get caught up in all of that. Hopefully, people that we hardly know at all wont feel the need to be jealous or hateful and we wont have to be faced with the whole thing.

Funny you should mention "cult" because I was just thinking... what I mean to say is I have this great recipe for Kool-Aid... what I meant to say was We should all move too this one farm and...
In all do respect and kidding aside. You have told me some of the drama and problems prior to my showing up. That in hopes is all behind us and in the past; though we will always have such things show up here and there. The road to success is leaden with the greatest of trials and tribulations that it took to get where you are. We're on the top of our collective game and the best I gather that we as a group have ever been. You guys have brought me into more then just a group but what feels like a family and I'm more thankful for that then words can describe; for brining what was a hobby into something I can actually grasp and take part in. This has been one for the most exciting things in my life short only to have my daughter and meeting my fiancé.
I think of Brad as genuine friend, and the same goes for Brandon and Steve who I recently met as well. This is a big step in my life and what I want to pursue. And we're moving forward with great speed in respect, following, and people who enjoy what we do. In my short time with the group I have already learned so much more then what I expected. When in Charleston South Carolina I did this I lead a small group of friends on whatever wild goose chase I could find. In what some called "Very Scooby Doo and The Gang Like". And after learning what I have that’s true to an extent. I've learned more then hunting ghost and debouching mysteries. I've learned what a huge impact in people’s private lives we make. Comforting and supporting families through what can be a very nerve wrecking time in their life. And that is one of the greatest feelings possible. I put my heart and soul into this... and I'm glad I've been given this chance.
In response to what Brad so well addressed... it's a lot simpler and easier to run your mouth though a screen then it is in person. Ignorance is bliss in this case; and those who do so enjoy their time in cyberspace pulling their barrel sized brass balls around with them; but if you offered those same barrel toting nay sayers the chance to come with you they're the first to say no or come up with an all to quick answer to why they can't or won't. I've already begun to learn how to cope with that.
As far as being duplicated Brad I'll have to find that article bro...
That's the price of success... being ridiculed by jealosy
