I used to be a tour guide at the San Fransisco Plantation and I don't believe it to be haunted. I never witnessed anything there that I would call paranormal. One of the older tour guides used to see spirits of little girls playing on the grounds but as far as I know she is the only one that has seen them. As far as the history of the house goes, there really isn't any reason for it to be haunted. Some of the family members did pass away there due to yellow fever and so forth but as far as I know there were no violent deaths or strange things reported. I have been alone in the home many times waiting for tour groups and did not witness anything strange. I am interested to see if anything turns up though. I guess it's possible.

We are looking very foward to visiting the San Francisco Plantation, if for anything, just to see such a beautiful plantation. One thing we have learned in the past, is that just b/c a location wasnt home to some gruesome death or event, doesnt rule out the possibilities of it having activity. In fact, some of the more active places we have investigated, havent had anything major take place during its existance. We all know that activity doesnt take place every single night in any given location. Lets just hope we will be in the right place at the right time!

a beautiful place like that...there could be lots of former residents who just didn't want to leave!

I've been there 3 times. It is a beautiful place. Before we decided on the old state capital (aka the castle) we were going to get married there. Anyway I never believed it to be haunted myself. Did you guys find anything interesting?

We were very pressed for time that night b/c they were having a wedding reception 100 yards away and the noise was a little distracting. We are looking at a follow up in the future though.
