Yes, its a very well known plantation in Sunset. We have looked into investigating this place, but they require we rent out the entire home in order to investigate (approx $900). Thanks for sharing that with us Mandy.

I hope I am allowed to comment on this, but that is absolutly crazy!!First off, this plantation has been well known for it's paranormal activity. I believe a month ago, I seen a listening in the "home finder" that it is up for sale AGAIN! I would think that letting people come to investigate and put some facts out would help sell this beautiful plantation home. If no paranormal activity was found, then maybe it would help sell the house to anyone who would be afraid. If activity would be found, then maybe someone who is really into it would buy it. This is just my opinion. Hope no-one gets offended.

Not at all Mandy. In fact, that is the EXACT same thing we have all said time and time again in regards to many different haunted plantations in the area. Another prime example is T'Freres in Lafayette. Places like this, you ask to investigate and they say "sure we would love to have you. Just rent out the entire house and we can set a date". Last I checked I didnt have Franklins coming out the ole poop shoot so Ill stick with the places that allow us in for free.

Wow Brad it appears as if we really do think alike. lol Joey & I visited this place about a year ago when we were looking for a place to hold our wedding and of course we got the "ghost stories." So we looked into it and like you we were told of the lovely expense.
This is not the only place to do it though. Oak Alley now charges $2,000 from 7pm-10pm and $500 for every hour after, and another plantation (can't rememember the name right now) we looked at wanted $3500... and don't even get me started on the myrtles.
It use to be sex sells now it appears that haunted sells. Makes you wonder if they realize that we are all either non profit or not for profit. Then again maybe that's why they do it...to keep us out.
