Jimmy, you can set up an account through photobucket.com . You can upload your pictures there, and post a link to them on the board.

The first church I worked at had a large cemetery out back. The church was in Zachary, LA and was established in 1875. Needless to say there was a lot of history there. The actual structure was pretty old as well. While working there I was a full time student in New Orleans. Needless to say there were a lot of late nights spent at the church working. The church had an eerie ambiance at night, however I just discarded it as any large building being scary at night while you're alone. One night when I was leaving, I was walking out to my truck and I saw an odd blue light low to the ground in the cemetery. Being alone, it kind of made my heart race. I decided, well, if it is something paranormal, I better walk toward it, being that a minister is kind of in the paranormal business. As I got closer the light stayed put, So my heart started pumping even harder. I actually had a feeling that something might jump out of the grave and grab me. Still, I steadied myself and moved forward. When I got there it was a solar light that someone had put on their loved ones grave. The moral of the story is this. If you see something that you think is paranormal, move toward it. Most likely it is nothing but your imagination. A person's imagination left to roam will conjure up some of the darkest demons ever conceived. Much Love to the Homies, Mike

It's possible that there was a high electro-magnetic field on that particular floor. If the building is old, it is possible that the wiring is old, and could produce the high emf. That is known to cause feelings of being watched, or nausea. It can really mess with some people. I'm not saying that's what happened, but it is a distinct possibility.

I miss the old GH, where they mostly debunked and they were more interested in helping families. I do think that their heart is still there, but like you said it's about ratings. So, maybe their new mission is to bring "scientific" paranormal research more to the mainstream because of their popularity. I don't know, all I know is that I miss the old debunkers.

Having been a corrections officer, a chaplain in a corrections environment, and counseling many people I have found that generally speaking, people LIE. That brings me to the biggest hang up with skeptics: Integrity. I am a fan of Ghost Hunters and GHI, I also watch many of the other paranormal shows. The problem I can see with each of the shows is that the vast majority of watchers don't actually personally know these people. They capture some wonderful evidence in these shows, however evidence is only as good as the integrity of those who present it. I often find myself saying, "That is either awesome evidence or an awesome fraud." I think that is where most skeptical watchers are. I tend to be a very skeptical believer (Oxymoron LOL). I have had experiences that I have found to be unexplainable, but I tend to doubt other people's stories. The reason is, by the time you here it, it has likely been embellished. Which brings me to my final point. A skeptic will always be a skeptic until he/she experiences it themselves. Even then they will still be skeptical, it doesn't matter how much evidence is presented. A skeptic will always be skeptical of someones integrity, not their evidence.

Just a quick background on myself before I get into the experiences. I have had a fascination with the paranormal for a long time. I have a deep faith in Christ, and am a pastor in a very conservative denomination. I have my own Bible based theories as to what causes hauntings and such, but I won't espouse them here and now. I'm also an analytical person who seeks physical answers before jumping off the paranormal deep-end. I was doing work for a church (Since I still do pastoral work, I will keep the name and area private) as an interim worship pastor. As the only musician in the church, I would go up there many times at night, alone, to practice. The experiences started almost immediately. I would see shadows directly on, not out of the corner of my eyes. They would move quickly, so I generally just thought it was my imagination. I slowly came to the realization that I've never had imaginary experiences like that before, and the fact that I would also see them during daytime hours started to make me really think. The church was set far off the road, and never had people pulling into the parking lot at the late hours I was there. I refused to ask anyone in the church if they had similar experiences because of the nature of my position. So, I decided to do my own investigation. I did not have any fancy investigating equipment, but I did have a digital voice recorder. I brought this with me one night, and did a quick evp session after I practiced. Within about 17 minutes I had two responses, but to only one question. I asked "Why are you still here?" The response: "I don't know." and a few seconds later a whispered "Dead." Neither of these sounds were audible when I was doing the session. After I reviewed the evidence I decided to go back another night with a digital camera. I convinced my brother to go along with me. We heard a few bumps, but the only thing that happened that night was that my digital camera went off by itself after I had taken a series of shots in the baptistry. The lens cap was off, the flash fired, but it was a completely black shot. All previous shots came out clearly. Being that I was approaching the end of my time there, I knew I only had a few more opportunities to research. One night while I was practicing, I heard a noise behind me. I turned around and saw a shadow dead on in the shape of a head peeking out of a curtain at me. It slowly disappeared. I smiled, because I knew what I had seen and resumed practicing. I started practicing a song that I had written, and I stopped playing the song because I had made a mistake. When I stopped, I heard a female voice from a closet behind me humming the chorus to the song. That made me a little uncomfortable, but I got up went into the closet and no one was there. I also went outside and circled the building to make sure no one was around. I went back into the church, shut off the lights, and started an evp session, but captured nothing. I had no more time to collect evidence with my time at the church. I rarely have personal experiences that I would deem paranormal, but that ranks up there for sure.
