I have not personally used this app, but have heard of others who have. One of the basic tests of genuine communications is whether the communications make sense, and not just seemingly random words. Hope you enjoyed the trip and the investigations. Both seem to be very active locations.

The class went well. Tomorrow, Sat. 3/24/12, members of the La. Spirits North Team and class members will venture to a known active location over in Ruston, La. We hope to be able to gather additional evidence on this location, and hopefully the class members will be able to gather some of it.

Some investigations are private and confidential, per our client. Some public buildings are not. Go to our website and contact the case manager in the area in which you live.

IF this were a form of demonic obsession or oppression and was cleared by exorcism, or similar, as thered are differnt rites of cleansing before the "formal" exorcism, then its clearance would help verify that hypothesis. Even if there ia clearance to date, writing would be both informative, as well as healing of mental scars.

Personal opinion on this first part. If many people do not believe in possession, and I believe this true, there would be no real need to hide the attempted possession.
However, there are two versions , the first is due to a congenital condition of the brain, and the second, often called idiopathic epilepsy, is due to underlying emotional conditions. The Ancient Greeks believed that epilepsy was caused by the invasion of the body by an outside force. A distinction can be drawn from "true" epilepsy, and "false" epilepsy. The "true" can easily be distinguished by an encephalograph. The "false" can be caused by many things, and I don't think oppression/possession can be categorized as not causing emotional distress. In fact, it's a major symptom. For additional infomation, see the works of Christopher Neil-Smith.

Any person, any religion, is subject to demonic influence, and corruption of religion has always been a goal. I don't think any one or any group could credibly claim exemption, and not be deluded in that position.

There will always be those, in any "industry" who seek only the publicity and notoriety, neglecting what should be the reason for the group's existance. That's a given, as it the nature of some individuals. And, my opinion, much of what we see on TV is entertaintment, not serious research.
I will take exception, personally, to the statement about the paranormal and science. First, under the umbrella of "paranormal" in its general meaning, there are areas that are more accurately described as "science based", such as remote viewing, and dream research. Governments across the globe spent untold sums on remote viewing research, in the interests of espionage and counter-espionage. I believe, for purposes here, you and I are defining "paranormal" as the study of the human consciousness beyond bodily death.
I don't think we can make any progress, in any field, without a science based approach. A real one, not lip service. Genuine research would be more than a "science fair" project, with help being one of the ultimate goals, along with improved communications. Even Thomas Edison believed this communication possible, and worked on such equipment himself during his lifetime. If we don't understand what is happening and how, I can't see how real progress can be made, and I agree that, in the last couple of thousand years, not a lot of progress has been made that can be verified. However, I also point out that virtually all the electronic progress over the last 50+ years has been the result of quantum physics, and we still don't understand exactly what is happening at the sub-atomic level, only its PROBABILITY. And that, at that level, we can't even get basic info, such as the velocity of a particle, and its exact location at the same time. Even though its been around a while, we still don't truly understand how gravity works, exactly. We understand a little about space-time curvature, and centrifugal forces, in relation to gravity, but not actual gravity itself.
We have to study the human mind and the human body. It's kind of a package deal. If we never studied, we would not have the medical advances we have, the awesome equipment, the pharmaceuticals which extend life and alleviate pain/suffering. Even though it is based on observation, case studies, and probability in addition to "lab work", psychology couldn't exist without studying people and their minds. I will even admit, despite the heavy "lab work", many discoveries were made in "moments of inspiration", when understanding was reached, but as the result of attempts to study. Then the studies were used to verify the theory. Such was the case of Einstein and the theory of relativity, a sudden understanding.
I also agree that EVP is better gathered when treating a person as a person, with courtesy and due respect. I still contend that this would not preclude the data from being used to further theories and research. In such cases, we form theories whether we want to or not. It's basic human nature.
Getting off track....Sometimes that helps to get us on track.

In the instances you reported, there was no confidentiality agreement. I was making reference to instances here in my "home area" where I have not been allowed access due to the less-than-professional conduct of others, which included breach of confidentiality by the investigating team. These individuals are often more interested in publicity then the actual research. It also reflects on integrity, and the ability to keep one's word, when this is violated in such a cavalier manner. There will always be those as such, in any industry. All we can do is promote ourselves in a professional manner, and "walk the walk". Enough said on that.
And I believe, and cannot see anyone else who would not, that concern for children in their after-state is nothing less than noble concern.

It's difficult to understand how progress is to be made, when individuals recognize an anomaly exists, yet they profress to remain in ignorance (lack of knowledge) and indulge in speculation to themselves and others, rather then allow research efforts be made in the name of science, by responsible parties who know and understand the meaning of the word "confidentiality".
I would like to add that the "confidentiality" issues were not directed at the posts made regarding this school. This was in reference to specific, signed requests for total confidentiality, which in turn get violated, by researchers who give out very specific information, names, dates, events, etc. that, prior to an investigation, were requested to be held as confidential, and probably were a condition of the investigation being allowed. These violations make it extremely difficult on others wishing to investigate the same location, if not impossible.

Communications have improved drastically over the last 20 years. With satellites, news and other communications are almost instantaneous. It's so easy to forward the "sensationalism" to an avid viewing audience, whose senses are already dulled to the point that very little can make even the remotest dent in their attention span. Why think when you can be spoon-fed all the mush you can handle? We might even make the argument that this passive evil is far more prevalent currently than the active, headline grabbing evil, and for more insidious....

I am going to, personally, take a more neutral approach. There is no doubt that, in the Final Days, evil will increase. At this point in time, I, personally, am not qualified to make the statement, "These are the End Times". I know from what you speak of, however. I am just not 100% sold that there is a tremendous actual increase, as I am sold on the idea that the coverage of what happens has increased many-fold over the years, to "sell" the media, and its products.
There has always been an ebb and flow throughout history, in the good vs. evil. It would be hard to imagine a perfect 50/50 balance, and with free will, difficult to sustain a balance and still have that free will. So, things happen.
"To everything, there is a season". Everything, not just some of it. And as we are reminded here with further words, seasons of death, war, and times not to embrace. But these, too, shall pass.

Personally, a dead body, whether mummy or by any other name, holds no real fascination for me. The body died, give it the respect and privacy it deserves. A study I saw several years ago indicated that, in the year 2000, that it was estimated/calculated that, since mankind's beginning, that there were about 25 dead for every living person in that year. Assuming we are accurate that the spirit survives bodily death (and we aren't insane), how can it be a real surprise that we find evidence that the dead do interact with the living on a resonable frequency? I would find in more unusual if survival were true and NO interaction ever was reported, given a 25:1 ratio.

In the history, of history, the spoils belong to the victor. He who wins decides what happened, why, and how. Whether it's right or wrong, it's what has happened. So, checking out history will always be decided by those who have the legal authority to do so (realizing there well always be grave robbers), and to regulate it as they see fit. As far as disturbing the dead, my opinion, if you pay your dues, you take your chances.......

Foot is about 95% healed, still tender. Water damages from weather keeping me hopping. First day I've been 100% in the office, and not putting in 14-16 hours/day, and working weekends in quite a while. With this thaw, may end up working tonight and tomorrow, though.
